Hi Guy just wanted share the name of a product that works very nicely specially for people that tend to have oily hair
and want their hair to look fresh for longer period.

it is made by Tigi and is called Dirty Secret.

I never thought I would like dry shampoo, but today my hairstylist put some in my hair for me to try. I thought it would be sticky feeling but it's not. I'm sold on this stuff. I usually wash my hair every day because it is oily...unfortunately the length is dry. The dry shampoo totally works though! He used a brand called Rene Furterer on me...I'm sure it's very similar to the Tigi.

It does make the hair not look as oily but it still feels gross so I only use it when I'm really pressed on time.

Tallulah, if you start washing your hair less your scalp will respond and produce less oil. It takes about 3 weeks and the dry shampoo is great for the transition period. Sulfate free shampoo will also help.

Has anyone tried this post op when everything is completely gross, to make it a little less gross?

Although, at the Newport Beach Surgery Center, they put some weird gunk in my hair that made it a rats nest afterwards, maybe because of the temporal fascia he took out both times... so this probably would not have worked then.

Hah, there is nothing like that "first shower".

I agree there is nothing that replaces showered hair but if you tend to have flat hair like me that look like needs to be washed as soon as it dry from being washed, you might like the powder spray stuff because somehow the Dry shampoo adds volume to the hair and keeps it from looking flat.

Sounds like it would help hat hair.

I "second" that! And speaking of "hat hair" ... I am the poster gal for it. I find it's a little better if one has hair long enough to tuck behind the ears, THEN put the hat on. But even so, it depresses me to no end to see my slicked-down head after dutifully wearing my sun hat. It's a trade-off: youthful skin for a head that looks like someone rubbed brown shoe polish all over my scalp. It's that flat.
