I was reading this on the beach today. I liked the analogy at the end of this line, "......they ( young girls) turn to Botox and fillers but continue to run their skin through a wringer of sun, cigarettes, alcohol, stress, and lack of sleep. “It’s like they’re re-draping dirty curtains,” Wechsler says.

That Barbie Doll morph was great.

Can hardly walk. Need hip replacement.

Interesting observation in the article about Lohan. I'd also felt she looks mid-30s, easily.

And it's ironic that my own sister-in-law is absolutely obsessed about looking youthful, gets Fraxel about 3 times a year, but still bakes her bod in the sun. I've read that just 20 minutes in the sun can completely erase the benefit of laser zapping of all those freckles and age spots.

I've also noticed that certain "looks" come and go: the Farah Fawcett look in the '70s (weird, flipped-back hair); big boobs in the '90s, now it's the BUTT and hair extensions.

Ah, I give up. I'm just gonna be me. A yellow bug with a big attitude, fried around the eyes from MixTo. Boobless. No hair extensions. And the nose I was born with.

... and totally lovable with it:)

Bug, I would rather spend a day with you and all your humour and personality, than some beautiful, boring, dumb bimbo.
You are a real person- a lovely looking one too:)

I first thought bugjune was Erma Bombeck--by her witty writing style. Anyway, Bugjune could be the next Dorothy Parker. She is literary genius.

^^^I am waiting for the release of BugJune's first book. NY Times bestseller list for sure.
Or maybe she has written one already?

Bug I thought your MixTo was a success . . . the use of the word "fried" tends to make me believe otherwise.

For those who wonder when I'll make the "Best Sellers" list: I've written books a'plenty. All journals. Private, time-consuming rants that fill book after book! My first journal was completed back in undergrad school as a required journalism assignment. While I found the exercise tedious back then, I now thoroughly enjoy writing MY observations of the life that swirls around me at a madcap pace - heh, heh!

HateMe: I really should update my pix in my album at MMH. Yes, the eyes are still ringed with a bright red circle. The skin there has the texture of being burned - as if I pressed my face with my Rowenta iron absent-mindedly right after doing the sleeve on my blouse. And my cheeks have a smoother, but blotchier look with bright red patches that look like someone took me in a corner and SLAPPED my face good and hard for saying, "MixTo sucks donkey dicks."

I am still hoping that my skin will resolve over time - maybe a year?! Skin cells do regenerate, don't they? But meantime, I have to confess, with full foundation, mineral cover-up stick and pressed powder on top I look A-OK now - hallelujia! It's just a lot of work to layer it all on.
