DCNGA,
You know what you could do to needle him--start mentioning all the OTHER stem cell therapy treatment places. Like find a stem cell therapy center in RUSSIA and say you were thinking about going to that one.

LOL, kind of a thanks for the info, now I am going to another doctor. A lot of his testing is quite good (depending on the method and the lab), I have had a lot of that done myself (salivary hormones, neurotransmitters, inflammatory markers, CA-125 etc). However one would not have to travel to have these tests done. I had them through my naturopathic doctor and my medical doctor.

Here is an article on people going abroad for stem cells. It lists the different clinics. So cite the OTHER clinics and maybe tell him you are thinking of going to the one in the Dominican Republic.

His clinic is charging $8-$25K per treatment. Four of the ladies are unemployed. He's offered not one drop of info beyond his ads. If I visit the board this morning and he's put up more ads, he's outta there.

He did put up more ads. He's banned.

Thank you, KM. I appreciate your input.

I knew what she meant by 'blech' but wanted to know why she felt that way.

I appreciate everyone's input and advice. He's banned.

He offered zero beyond how to get in touch with him for his "cure". The guy had no formal training in stem cells or stem cell research--zero, nada, zip. What his company is doing may have some merit one day, but for now I don't think it is something people who are out of jobs trying to figure out why their faces are melting are will get much benefit from someone offering them false hope in a foreign country and costing up to $25,000.

Here's the ISSCR's patient handbook for stem cell therapy. It's all still experimental. The gist is don't bite unless it's to participate in a legitimate clinical trial, overseen by NIH or some foreign equivalent. Anything else is very likely to be quackery.

They just should get f/gs here as f/gs have stem cells in them or at least a good chance of their being in there.

All the red flags for charlatan.
1. He misrepresents his training. "I trained at Mayo". He trained at NYMC in Valhalla, the school known for being , well really not Mayo, and then did a brief time at Mayo. He lists many societies that sound impressive but require an application and cash, not any extra training.
2. He offers the usual scam money makers like chelation therapy. It works for specific disorders but does not treat cancer or neurodegenerative diseases which insurance doesn't cover and people with incurable illnesses spend their life savings in despertion to die - broke.
3. Stem cell therapy looks really good for some diseases but we are not there yet.
Agree with the position - blech.

And when it comes to stem cell in Russia, I am a little familuar with the subject. Yes, they are ahead of US in this department but at what price? It is alot of uncertain in using stem cells, a lot have to be learned. It is controvercial not otly because it is taken from unborn fetuses but because of its unpredictability. By unverified information, I repeat, "unverified" a number of Russian actors/actreses had these treatments in their time ( I will not name them because no one would probably know their names but me)and they all died of various cancers at age 40 something to 60 something. All they were very famous and very good looking. Even official scientific Russian sources agree upon the fact that stem cells could do as much harm as good. It is kind of similar to HRT. So everyone has right to chose to use or not to use but it is still in very infant state.

Ya, I've seen articles where the stem cells gave people tumors. I'm not talking about f/gs or stem cells in there but stem cells from those kind of therapies where sick people try them for a cure.

Update:
I've just got an e-mail from someone involved with the past interview with this doctor. He reports: "Dr. Feinerman has recently treated a young girl with a fatal disease called Tay Sachs and that girl died three days ago in Alabama."

I corresponded with that guy today, Miss J. I had deleted the doc's username, posts and all so I could not help out.

I told him I would get you in touch with him. Well, maybe you could tell him that you felt this doc was kind of spamming your board or trolling for patients. Looks like the media is AFTER this doc.

Yeah, I told him the whole story and then added there was no 'proof' left on my forum because I deleted it all. Therefore, I could not really help show that the doctor was being predatory on my forum (as all 'proof' was deleted over a year ago).
