Granted, the stage lighting is bad, but her skin needs help.

I'm thinking she either ate a mud pie ... or she's had Fraxel around the mouth, which resulted in hyperpigmentation. Well ... she could be sprouting a beard, as nothing is outside the realm of possibility with her. I Bug U

Looks like she has a lot of filler in the cheek area. I think for the most part, people with big pores are stuck with them though.
If anybody knows of any orthopedic doctors, in Boston or Concord MA area who are conversant in FEMORAL ACETEBULAR IMPINGMENT, please let me know.

But she never used to have big pores, did she? I always used to think her skin was one of her best features..

I also thought her skin was the prettiest thing about her, not a pore in sight. She had that very light skin that was very clear. She had nice eyes too.
I hope whatever it is, it goes away. She looks like she molting.

In The People vs Larry Flynt, her skin looked perfect. But six years later, in Trapped, she had this weird melted look, sort of like she had a bad result from a deep peel, not as bad as Joan Van Ark but closer to that than pristine.
Lighting can make a lot of difference, though.

Her skin looks just like mine.
I have pale skin that had always been fairly clear. Then about 3 years ago it started to look awful. Since then I have tried quite a few things but to no avail.
Any suggestions on a fix for something like this kosmeds?

Tretinoin or tazarotene, occasional mild peels, good sunscreen. If you are a phototype I or II and possibly III you might consider TCA peels from a derm. You can ask your derm if you are a good candidate, it depends also on how oily you are and your tendency to form indented scars, if you have a history of accutane use, etc. Or you could try a dermaroller with your tretinoin or tazarotene.

i swear by tazarotene.
you have to be patient. at least 3 years of consistant use.

Thanks heaps kosmeds and Chris K
Is there a lot difference between Tretinoin and tazarotene?
Miss j recommended some Retin A a year ago but my derm said no.I come from a small country town and he is the only derm so I have been enduring 3 years of benzoyl peroxide, finacea and antibiotics. I have been diligent with everything his given me but no results. Have been considering buying Retin online for awhile, so I think I’m going to have to.
Kosmeds would you be willing to look at my photo and see what skin type I look to be and what peel you would recommend? If I have some idea of what I need I can work out where I need to travel to.I don’t know how my skin ended up like Courtney’s as there have been no drugs for me ever and no chemical peels .
Courtney always struck me as a bit of a black hole of need, always sucking people in. But at the same time I still feel bad for her as her whole plastic surgery journey has been about striving to be the “pretty girl” she never got to be growing up.

Taz is for some people a little stronger than the Retin A but in similar 'family' of 'stuff' to use. If you can build up some kind of tolerance to the retin a--like not get too red or too flaky from it, then you can go to the taz.

Lucyview wrote:Is there a lot difference between Tretinoin and tazarotene? Yes. They are both in the retinoid class of compounds because they bind to retinoid receptor sites in the cells which modify genes leading to specific end actions after binding-- anti-aging, anti-acne, anti-psoriasis, etc.-- basically they normalize a lot of imperfections. There are two main types of retinoid receptor sites in our cells: RAR and RXR, and each of these has subtypes alpha, beta, and gamma. Tretinoin AKA retinoic acid is an acid form of vitamin A. Tazarotene has nothing to do with vitamin A, it's a totally synthetic designer compound which when converted to tazarotenic acid in the skin binds only with RAR subtypes beta and gamma. The idea of binding only to these two subtypes was to avoid irritation and to maximize efficacy. I think this is very cool. I think it's hard to say which one is the most potent for reversing all kinds of skin problems because they have never been tested in equal footing (i.e. equal percentages in equivalent bases formulated at their unique ideal pHs). I am not even sure that tretinoin is more irritating (at least, in the strengths and formulations I have tried). But I like tazarotene more at the moment. [Miss j recommended some Retin A a year ago but my derm said no.] I wonder why. (S)he must have had some bad patient experiences. It can be too much for people who aren't used to it. I have been using them since I was about 13. [I come from a small country town and he is the only derm so I have been enduring 3 years of benzoyl peroxide, finacea and antibiotics. I have been diligent with everything his given me but no results. ] This sounds like torture. [Have been considering buying Retin online for awhile, so I think I’m going to have to.] Either that, or find another derm. There are some sites that sell both tretinoin and tazarotene and you can try both. But you will have to use a heavy duty high PPD sunscreen with hat/visor and wrap sunglasses. [Kosmeds would you be willing to look at my photo and see what skin type I look to be and what peel you would recommend? If I have some idea of what I need I can work out where I need to travel to.I don’t know how my skin ended up like Courtney’s as there have been no drugs for me ever and no chemical peels .] PM me. I am obviously not a derm but I can share with you what has and hasn't worked for me.

Retin A was too irritating for my skin. I use Differin and copper peptides. Both of these are irritating to other peoples' skins but are fine with me! If I try other products even on alternate days, my skin suffers too much. I have very fine, fair skin.I guess you have to find what suits your own skin and I also think you build up a tolerance to it and need to change products from time to time.

She finally got the small nose she wanted. I am really starting to think about getting a 2nd nosejob ago. I let this go about 7 years ago but it's just really been bothering me again recently.

I really don't know how she's stayed alive so long. Pure dumb luck, I guess. She definitely puts the "Twit" in Twitter.
