Padma Lakshmi (who suffers from endo herself) is working with Dial to raise endometriosis awareness and funds towards research. For every person who "likes" Dial on Facebook, they will donate $1 towards endo research. Every little bit helps! http://www.facebook.com/Dial?v=app_4949752878

Looks like DIAL REFORMULATED their products (which now look appealing). I used to hate Dial Soap when I was a kid. It was this orange bar of soap with 'smell irritants' in it. Their slogan was: "Aren't you glad you use Dial. Don't you wish everyone did?" It started as DEODORANT soap.
IF I just BUY the new Dial product at CVS, will that help? I've never tried the new Dial cuz as a kid, I did not like that soap--nor Ivory nor Dove.
Can hardly walk. Need hip replacement.

Oh I don't use or actually like Dial products either! It's the "like" icon on Facebook that you click for them to donate. I don't know if any of the profits of actually buying any of their products goes toward endo research.

Oh, ok, I'd buy some at CVS for the cause (and then use it to irritate insects in my garden LOL) but I'm not on face book. For soaps, I like specialty soaps like the ones from the South of France or Crabtree and Evelyn. Soap is my 'thing'. I love soap but the type of soaps you find in specialty stores. Can one just send them $ toward research and not say they like the stuff?

You 'n me both grew up in that awful (agent) orange Dial soap era. It was a staple in our household! One of the reasons I moved out at 18 .... OK, so that's an exaggeration, but I HATED the smell and color, too. ================================================ MissJ wrote:Looks like DIAL REFORMULATED their products (which now look appealing). Anyone can donate to any association or research organization, but I don't think Dial is accepting donations; they're in it for the free advertising/exposure they get from people "liking" Dial products. Speaking of specialty soaps/lotions, a friend of mine just gave me an incredible body lotion from a company called Organic Earth Fiji. It's made from coconut and smells absolutely DIVINE and she said the soap is just as amazing. Worth keeping an eye out for.

The soaps from Fiji or Hawaii have coconut oil in them and a lot of tropical smells like pinapple and they are very nice. I had one from Hawaii before my friend brought back. barbiegirl wrote:
