He's not ASAP member. They made a big deal about how hes not a board certified surgeon back in 07 I think, I actually think his wife is really pretty.

Yikes. Not board certified? Something's got to account for his booming business ... or should I say "boobing" business?

Earl25, I can't get past the wife's all-encompassing self-orientation. While Dr. Rey may be out fixing hare lips in some boondock, she is Skyping with him and nagging him about "...we never talked about this. You didn't get my permission ... yadda yadda." She is like a black hole of negativity. He must be a masochist to stay with her. She pressured him into buying some honkin' big MacMansion, so she and the tots can roll around in self-indulgence all day. I just don't think she gives her man one jot of support or encouragement. And that to me reveals an ugly soul.

Um, agree! And Diamond has a MOST strange relationship with that odd-ball wife. Hmmm... I think I see a pattern emerging here! Cuz a few years ago, there was some other Armenian doc on the show, and HIS wife took the cake. High-maintenance bimbo who couldn't even make a cuppa coffee as I recall. Looked as overdone as a mannequin.

And I think Dr. Rey does SOMETHING funny right before surgery, but I haven't seen the show in so long I forget. Maybe it's do 100 push-ups or have a kick-boxing session with the nurse who shaves his nuts ... not sure.

I thought it was odd that at the "90210" website, Diamond doesn't even mention his wife in his personal background info on the front page. The other docs will mentions spouses, kids, etc., but no word on Diamond's wife. Yes, I do recall she was a medical professional in her own right.. and - not to offend anyone here - but wasn't she also a born-again? Why do I recall some heavy "Christian" connection there ... the wedding? Ah. Whatever.

Ugh. Robert Rey? He's so odd. The story is that he was raised by a fiercly religious family who adopted him from missionaries. Given his oddities, I think he's repressing his homosexuality. He's just too caught up in the inerrancy of the Bible to ever accept his own sexuality. And that wife of his is just about the most irritating person I think I've seen in a long time. In fact, there used to be a website devoted solely to trashing her. Blech.

Well if he is a gay and hiding it even to his wife, then I feel so sorry for her and I can understand why she is a pain in the a**, he needs to come out, leave her find someone else, playing straight with his wife is just plain sick.

I totally agree about the beotch. She bugs me BLIND! Looks like a 12-year-old waif with double-D's, inflata-lips, hair extensions, and whiny voice. If I had the URL of that rant site, I'd be there pronto slamming her. And if I was in the backyard pool at the McMansion with her, I'd sit on her head till she inhaled water. She just does that to me.

I can't figure out if Dr. Rey is gay or not! He seems very pleasant, granted, a BIG portion of his work is focused on the mammary glands ... and I sure wouldn't deny the repressive influence of the religious family who took him in. There was a touching reunion episode where he goes to visit them ... but it left a stale taste in my mouth. It was like Martian meets Venetian. Two totally, opposite, unconnected types of people coming together ... BONK! Right into the brick wall.
