Looks like she has a POOL though from the latest baby shot. So, you could cool off in there. Larazelle wrote:
My mother should not have been a mother - she did not know how to be one - and I forgive her because she had a horrible non-maternal mother herself - I do think to a large part being maternal is learned - I have noticed that women who were abused/not loved by their mothers or abandoned by their mothers DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN - and its because they don't feel the need to nurture - so its something you like to do to your kids because it was done to you and you have fond memories of it - your case is the exception -
Thanks for the invitation DC - but Atlanta in the summer is too hot and humid for my liking - but send me the hug through the psychic ether waves - LOL - I feel your love and that's all that is needed -

DCNGA wrote: My mother was NEVER the cuddly, warm fuzzy type. I grew up with little to no affection from her so I think that's why I've always been so affectionate with my own kids. My DH is pretty good with taking care of me, too. He will rub my shoulder, neck or back for hours when I'm in pain. I guess since he's been so sick for so long, he has greater than normal empathy (for the typical guy type).
You can always fly down to ATL and I'll fix you chicken soup and give you a hug when you need it.

I take a ridiculous amount of Motrin/Percocet for my painful disease, and the only thing that saves my stomach is ALWAYS taking meds with food and taking DGL about 15 minutes or so before the NSAID. NSAIDS reduce inflammation but in the process they also inhibit your natural mucosal stomach procetive layer, and the DGL works to temporarily replace it while the drug is in your system. I personally would continue the DGL for at least a week or so after you're off the anti inflammatories to give your system a chance to readjust.
Anaprox is awful, at least for me. I makes me so sick and stoned and doesn't even help to take away the pain! Hi Barbiedoll - Thanks for your concern - and I am sorry that you suffer from so much pain too - I remember you suffering from some malady but I don't remember what - anyway what is DGL and where do I get it - also - I took 2 Aleve last night at 9 p.m. and I still had pain at night which woke me up - maybe like you Aleve does not work for me - and I should go back to Ibuprofen - Hotels in Cleveland

The pic of my grandson was at a friend's housing complex where they were visiting. Pools are too expensive to build and maintain and can even cause the value of your property to decline due to the costs associated with upkeep. Plus, I don't do bathing suits--LOL. I would have to swim in board shorts and a long sleeved diving top to get in a pool. Ugh. Not attractive.

Well, I live in a JINXED apartment building. No pool here. You are thin. You could 'do' a bathing suit. DCNGA wrote:

I'm all cellulite. Sucks and I HATE it. It's actually a side effect of hyperthyroidism/hypothyroidism. One of the lovely side effect that came along with this condition. They chemically (radioactive iodine) ablated my thyroid and I then became hypothyroid and must take thyroid hormone replacement forever afterwards. In the process, the whole cellulite thing happens. Nasty.

DGL is de-glycyrrhizinated licorice root, it coats the stomach and protects it from acid damage and ulcers. You should be able to find it in any health food store. I would just suggest using a chewable versian as this appears to have the greatest effect and benefit.

I now have a lot of it too (and sleep problems). It sucks. But then I have not been swimming as much as prior. DCNGA wrote:I'm all cellulite. Sucks and I HATE it.
