Dr Guyuron is a Great ps according to people on this Forum and many others. My question is how much of a dramatic change can Dr G make in a individual that has an african american nose (wide nostrils thick and oily skin)? I see his rhinoplasty pics and most of them are subtle changes he is not like lets say Dr. Rizk that can create a quite dramtic result. Im just curious Of what he can do because i barely see that he handles african american noses (i can be wrong though)

Is this pic one of Guyuron's? Whoever did it, I think the change is wonderful- refinement without losing ethnicity, otherwise you stand to have a nose that does not match your face.

I don't believe that Guyuron did that nose. where does it say he was the physician in question ?

^^^It would be nice if that site (Plasticsurgery.org) put the names of the surgeons under the photo examples they give for procedures. I know that they have some representative work on certain surgeon's individual pages (I believe Guyuron has some photos), but they don't list which docs are responsible for the before/afters in the procedures section.

it was mentioned on YTF more than once a few years back.

IMHO, Berry's nose doens't look like a typical Guyuron nose. the radix is lower than on his noses. he also doesn't like width at the alar bases and her nose currently is still wide( appropriate for her face albeit).

imo she Does not look like she has a Guyuron nose at all, this gal has an abrupt transition between forehead to nose bridge(dent) plus the nose is not refined.

imo Guyuron noses are sophisticate and at the same time natural looking.

Unless it is the lighting, there is a skin color difference at the bridge. It makes her nose look like it is a fake, plastic stick on nose. Sorry.

Dr. G's quotes are substantially less than the LA doctors. Not that I think price should bear import on the decision making process (no I am not infinitely wealthy). Price is only one factor and sometimes it is easy to get trapped in the mentality that there is a strict positive correlation between price and result (I'm personally guilty of this). Remember that rent of Rodeo Drive outpaces most of the zip codes in the US.

I see what you mean DCNGA. There's a weird dark curve on the top of her bridge. There is nothing on that website that points to Dr. G as the surgeon.

The junction of where her dorsal graft is does not blend in well

If anybody knows of any orthopedic doctors, in Boston or Concord MA area who are conversant in FEMORAL ACETEBULAR IMPINGMENT, please let me know.

Cancel above request. My hip is now too far gone. Need a total hip replacement.

Sorry NYC, I don't really know much about Guyuron and African American noses. I did look up Dr. Rizk, though, and his results ARE dramatic. Most of his noses are awesome! Has anyone ever had a rhinoplasty with him on this board? I had never heard his name before but he seems like a great rhino doc

do you mean narrower, less bulbous and deprojected?

or just narrower?
what do your lips look like, do you have full lips with bimax protrussion? if you do so
I would suggest you do not deproject your nose to much or you might end up with the mouth sticking out to much,
on my primary with a diferent Doctor my nose was deprojected a lot and that happened to my mouth,, but dr guyuron did a revision to the nose and now I look more balanced.
