Does anyone have any experience with Resveratrol? What brand? Anyone use or know anything about Vivix from Shaklee?

Yes, I bought the expensive stuff for my husband (who has severe chronic illnesses) and he said it really helped him. Unfortunately, he was not happy with the price and he only used it for about a month. Longevinex is the brand I bought for my DH. Of course they claim theirs is the only genuine one that has real therapeutic properties/value:

SAS has a topical version but Hannah has said in the past that you could ingest it as well. She claims her version is the best out there but hers is expensive too, I think.

Shaklee is claiming theirs is the best too, and the only one scientifically tested. A friend loves Vivix @$90 a month and you take it by teaspoon. DH came home with Vinatol @45 a month I think. If DH is going to use the stuff i would like it to be a reputable product.
Thanks DCNGA

Maybe just a glass of dry red wine a day would be less expensive (and better). I know the Hungarian doctors at the heart sanatorium would prescribe to the patients to drink a glass of red wine a day. Try some 'Bull's Blood' Egri Bikaver red wine. It's not too expensive.

If anybody knows of any orthopedic doctors, in Boston or Concord MA area who are conversant in FEMORAL ACETEBULAR IMPINGMENT, please let me know.

The concentration in one glass or a whole bottle won't get the amount of resveratrol needed to get any benefit. The guy who 'discovered' it does drink a couple of glasses of wine every night but he said that he would need to drink MUCH more than is possible per day to get the concentration needed to get the full benefit.

There's a nicely referenced wiki article on resveratrol with some pro and con references and tables with food/drink values. Sinclair is the guy who stands to make a fortune. I'm skeptical that a single compound can make a difference. But on the longevity boards lots of people are buying it in bulk. It's also been investigated for topical use. IIRC ethanol makes the best carrier.

I take resveratrol and quercetin daily for my endo, and the best one out there that I have seen (and personally take) is the one by Integrative Therapeutics Inc. Interestingly enough, there was a study done not too long ago that found naturally occuring resveratrol in almost all organic produce, and in just a few conventionally produced foods. Yet another reason to choose organic :)

My facialist swears by this brand. apparently, one her clients (middle age) goes down to mexico and bakes every year. comes back with tanned chicken skin. So the client started taking the Vivix for about 3 to 6 months before her usually trip. Well, she got back and was tanned but not crinkly. Her is was not effected by the sun- like is was tanned not by still hydrated plump. The client said she did nothing different laid out as usual with little to no sunscreen. So the vivix offered her some serious protection.

Also, my facialist has seen age spots and melasama disappear when the clients go on this. I have not tried it but was going to order a bottle for myself and my father who is a diabetic.

I have a friend who uses the Vivix liquid too and really likes it, feels more energized, but it is twice the price of Vinotrol pills that my DH brought home.
