Cindy I am often flippant. I was trying to get a rise out of you. I was teasing / provoking thinking that you would give as good as you get. I wouldn't have done it if I had thought you were down.. Please don't spend any time thinking about it... cindy79 wrote:
Was laid off a few months ago. No job prospects and am pretty bored and lonely at the moment. Just wanted to share on this board because everyone seems pretty nice and interactive but I guess it's only natural that with sharing comes judgement.

I'm wondering how much of this he did to himself. He's got the look of someone that drank quite a bit.

Yipes! Does a bottle of vodka give one a wedge-shaped head? Cuz that's what he's got now - total triangle. His hairdresser must be trigonometrically inclined. I Bug U

Cindy79, maybe it was. He wore his hair the same way and his shirts were similar, too. But he was younger in Total Eclipse, and even more beautiful then than in Titanic.

DiCaprio was extremely fortunate to get some very good roles in high quality independent films when he was young, like Gilbert Grape, particularly after starting off on TV in Growing Pains. Then he acheived superstardom as a "teen idol" type in a highly commercial movie (Titanic). He seemed to really dislike that image and seems to have fought against it ever since, seeking out grittier roles and seemingly doing everything possible to overcome the "pretty boy" image. He does look like he drinks, but I like his "grizzly" looks better than the pretty boy image of his younger self.

cindy79 wrote:Why are there so many more attractive women then there are men? Is it because women can do so much more with hair and make-up? But it really was more than that because just looking at features, the men's features were very unattractive. It is disheartening as a single woman to want to be attracted to a man and it just doesn't happen. It seems the same way to me, too. I live in a college town, and pretty girls are a dime a dozen. Even in the harder science majors, there are so many bright, beautiful, hard-working women that it makes one's head spin. But attractive men, let alone bright ones, are very scarce. I hardly ever see a man that turns my head. And when I do, he usually turns out to be a narcissistic creep, because he's so accustomed to having his choice among the thousands, and they are all disposable since there are so many to choose from. I don't think this is a new thing, it's probably the way the world has always worked. I read somewhere that throughout history, only a minority of men reproduced, whereas almost all women did.

Personally, give me a bright, happy, funny, good-hearted, loyal average looking guy over a gorgeous guy with narcissistic, self-serving, cheating ways every time.

University of Florida. Most everyone goes around half naked here, too. Including myself.

I haven't been to Miami in decades, but my sister did med school there and she liked it. I prefer North Florida, with the oak trees and the Spanish moss. I have some killer trees in my yard and 1/3 acre. I also ride my bike everywhere. I don't think that would be possible in Miami unless I were fabulously well-to-do.
