Seriously? A plastic surgery attention whore is upset that people are taking about her plastic surgery and her pictures, with copyrights noted by the OP? LMAO. She didn't take those pics and put them on the internet for people not to take notice.

Miss J, I'm sorry you are having to deal with so many irrational people lately. I agree making more of the forum private will prevent a lot of unnecessary drama and wasted time.

I guess she is actually having some problems with people claiming her 'title' and misappropriating her name that she may have responded to me as being part of same ilk. Like someone in UK is claiming the title of "most plastic surgeries" to look like Barbie and she feels that's her title. (Since she did it first and the other is kind of a 'copy cat'). Some publicity agent selling stories to the media has used the name; "Cindy Jackson" for their client (an underage BOY wanting to be transgendered but is not yet and who's legal name probably was not changed to "Cindy" although his last name is "Jackson"). So, maybe she thought I was hijacking her name and photo. But I don't do that kind of stuff. Nor did the OP. Like his intent was not to do that but just to critique her. It does look like she has a few 'players' out there wanting publicity by misappropriating her name or title and attributing it to themselves. I mean that's what's 'going on' with her in the midst of finding her photos up here.

Can hardly walk. Need hip replacement.

I would love it if the whole board was private...that way no one at my work will ever be able to find out I'm posting here when I should be working!!! (Well, that's my selfish reason anyway).

DCNGA has left the board and is no longer taking PMs.

Yes, but I clear cache every day. Regardless, if they wanted to they could certainly find my postings with or without my PC to check. I was being cheeky.

Having the board public has no real advantage for you, and could be just the opposite actually (aggravation and more work to be public).

Your membership is pretty much closed, unless you invite or get recs from other members.

You don't advertise so you don't need to keep up your rankings on google.

You prefer a certain, higher 'level/quality' of posters which is not generally what most PS boards have as their membership. You have a target membership/audience.

Your time is valuable, so better spent doing what you want to do rather than tending to emails from lurkers and/or trolls.

For these reasons, it simply might be in your best interest to close the entire board to public view and cut down on the hassle. The only difference for us (members) would be we could not view/read as 'guests' and would have to log in each time we visited the board to read, which is not a big deal for me personally. Don't know how others would feel about it.

Maybe you should do a member poll and get a temperature for how members feel in general. There's just no real benefit for you to keep the board viewable by every bot and human being on the Internet if they are not your target audience/membership, especially since lurkers/guests can eat up your bandwidth. If all that was visible were the individual board titles (like the lip and facial aug are now) then people would know the board exists but it's targeted to those you know, want, trust as members.

My board has to be public because it is hosted by a free service. They require that 50% of the board be unprotected and viewable by everyone. I also need my board public so that others harmed can find the board. Otherwise, I would take it private to keep the crazies out. I've had to deal with docs (unscrupulous) sending people to join/monitor/post themselves and my target membership is the opposite of med field types joining unless they are there to help not troll for patients or have their employees interject 'good info' about a particular doctor or call out members on the 'impossibility' of their symptoms.

DCNGA has left the board and is no longer taking PMs.

Well, a good amount of it is so far 'members only' and the points you stress are those that hit home to me which
I have been considering. Open sign up is definitely closed. Like the other day, I had to open the sign up so I could sign up ONE person myself. Within the hour or so, I left the board with option to 'sign up', which I have to do to sign up a new approved member, about 6 SPAM BOTS got in to sign up.

Hello everybody, I'm Cindy Jackson. Miss J has kindly let me reply.

First, a little background: I started my Cosmetic Surgery Network in 1988, before most of us had ever heard of the internet. It is a long-established cosmetic surgery resource that continues to this day providing quality up-to-date information to those who wish to benefit from the combined experiences of thousands of other patients the world over. It is the secret of how I continue to find the very best practitioners over the years: I get to see the results for myself on those I meet through my own network of patients. Had the internet been available back then, I don't think I would have taken the time to meet so many other patients face-to-face, nor would I have known whom or what to believe. These days when I meet with people who have had bad surgical results, more and more often they tell me they heard about the procedure or the surgeon online, or were put off their original choice of surgeon or surgery because of something they read on the internet. Therefore I am grateful for being a "pre-internet" patient as I would have probably have done the same.

Moving with the times, of course I put my story online and adapted my patient network accordingly. However my copyright material is increasingly copied and pasted out of context. People have even photoshopped my pictures to make my face look disproportionate or my nose look crooked or my eyes mismatched, then posted them along with spiteful comments about how bad my "surgery" looks. There is an incredible amount of misinformation online about everything - including me. For years I ignored it and tried to rise above it all, but not anymore. It's not fair to me, or to those who want to know the truth. It takes very little time to do a Google image search and send emails to the sites who infringe my copyright. Of course new ones keep going up, but I already took on Mother Nature and won...

When I was young I heard the playground taunts and bullying about my looks; when I grew up I had cosmetic surgery. Now I get similar playground-type taunts and bullying online for having had the surgery. After awhile you come to understand that if you take away the stick people are hitting you with, some of them will just pick up a different stick and carry on hitting - because they LIKE hitting others. These bullies are in their element online because they can hide behind false identities or choose to remain anonymous and post any remark, lie or comment about anything or anyone for the whole world to see - and they need take no responsibility for it. In addition to the online abuse, I have also had three stalkers, numerous copycats (one who continues to falsely claim the Guinness World Record I have held since 2000) and a British drag artist who looks like Divine and has renamed himself "Cindy Jackson" so he can go on TV and say he wants surgery to look like a famous model - just to give you a few examples. Not much I can do about those, I guess they go with the territory.

Unlike so much of the online community, I am not anonymous. My life story and my surgery is out there for all to see on my web site. So are my pictures, which are copyright protected so they cannot legally be taken out of context or posted on random sites for others to vent their spleens over - or used as a stick to hit me with. You may not agree with what I have done, you may have your own views on my surgical results, you may have a thousand other opinions - to which you are certainly entitled. However, you may not use my copyright material without permission, which is why it is, by definition, "copyright material." Anyone who still wants to refer to my pictures or surgery can just link to my site: www.cindyjackson.com

In closing, I would like to thank Miss J for giving me this opportunity to talk to you. Also for removing my photos so promptly when asked to do so. Normally I have to send numerous emails and legal threats before anyone takes any notice, hence my strongly worded email - and my attitude. So thank you Miss J for being the very first person to do that, and thanks to everyone who takes the time to read this.

With very best wishes,
Cindy Jackson

Yatterman1 - Hi there! Miles lives in northern England so we mainly keep in touch online these days. He isn't interested in publicity or being in the media anymore, having had more than enough of the downside that goes with it. That's why you haven't seen any new stuff about him. As for my "joined date," Miss J assigned me an old account that wasn't being used so that must have been when the other person joined. I have never been on this forum before.

Lazarelle - Thank you for your kind words! ♡

ok, I'll send you a PM about Miles, but I do have a question for you. You got a canthoplasty, right? Who did it? How much did you pay?

Also here's my cosmetic goal:

The left picture is unedited. The right picture is a photoshop of what I want to look like. My questions:

1) think this is realistic?

2) can you suggest any surgeons to me, especially for my eyes.

3) if my transformation turns out to be awesome would you help me get publicity like you helped Miles Kendall?

I don't think it's unrealistic. Before I could suggest surgeons I'd need to know what part of the world you live in. As for publicity, the media are always looking for case histories, but I must caution you, it is a double-edged sword and you need very thick skin. There is no operation for that unfortunately! I'll PM you about the rest.

I live in New Jersey, but I don't care where the surgeon is, im willing to travel.

I really would like to know a good surgeon for the eyes, one for the canthoplasty in particular because thats going to be a VITAL part of my transformation.

This is misleading. The guy is (or claims to be) transgender and the famous model he wants to look like is Katie Price. To say he looks like Divine is beneath you, surely, with your experiences. When I saw him on TV I got the impression he wouldn't have a clue who you were - he is a teen, no? Why would he?

You are giving people the stick to beat you with... There is nothing clever in holding that record. Let it go:)

For some reason I can't post images. I have a picture of Divine and a picture of that man (who is pre-op by the way) you must see side by side to believe. I am going to send them to Miss J because it is the only email address I have for this forum, unless somebody else wants to PM me an email address so I can send them as attachments. Do you really believe that someone living in England who wants plastic surgery to look like a celebrity "wouldn't have a clue" who I am, especially considering that "Cindy" is such an uncommon name in the UK, particularly to that generation? He certainly looked uncomfortable on that TV show when the host - whom I know and has interviewed me many times over the past 20 years - asked him how he came up with the name Cindy Jackson. And you honestly believe that NO ONE has mentioned somewhere along the way to him that there is actually already a Cindy Jackson known for having had cosmetic surgery who is constantly featured in the UK media? On the other hand, perhaps you're right. It's probably just sheer co-incidence. Silly me.

And yes, I will let go of the record I set 10 years ago when someone else breaks it.

Goodbye!

if the other Cindy Jackson looks like Divine, surely it would be cruel to harp on about it - that is my point.

I know who you are b/c I have an active interest in PS. I don't think any of my friends would, or they might if prompted by something.

Maybe I should be more cynical but I thought "the other Cindy" seemed a bit lost and well very young..rather than someone trying to cash in on your name..just saying..

Paul you are correct The Teenager entertainer whos real name is Richard Jackson does want to look like
katie price, imo he does look like her when he is in Drag,

imo he is a good looking young man perhaps even better looking than some of us, as for that divine I truly see no resemblance there
