Even though Latisse works for me and I've had no side effects yet I am still a bit uncomfortable using the product especially if there are other options out there and it looks like there are. Over the weekend I saw this one at HSN but it's the same price as Latisse. http://beauty.hsn.com/md-lash-factor-ultima-by-dr-susan-lin_p-5833714_xp.aspxI was hoping to pay less. And I don't know if it will really work. Has anyone used this product?

What did work for me was Revitalash, but the original formula from a couple yrs ago. I don't think the newer formula works that well from what I've heard.

You can really see it in this pic though normally my pupils take up almost my entire iris so most people think I have brown eyes. Only if I'm outside or right by a window are you really able to tell they're blue. But I do have concerns with Latisse changing the color though it's ok for now. But I'd rather not risk it so once I'm done with this bottle I'm switch to something else though I haven't decided which product just yet.

Cindy, I have been also searching for alternatives to the Bimatoprost(in Latisse and Lumigan), and there seems to be SO many new products out there now. I think the majority maybe just condition lashes and prevent them from breaking or falling out, and really don't increase growth. But there seems to be some reviews on this site link below about some with peptides and other ingredients that may possibly stimulate growth. I really don't expect the same results as the Lastisse/Lumigan, but at least they are free prostaglandins, which may have other long term effects. I think I will stop using the Lumigan after I finish this last bottle. Even though I've seen a great difference in the length over the past year, the reality is that there are times when the lashes shed and they don't seem as long, then a few weeks later, they go back to longer again. But they never really got thicker, just longer. There is also a maximum effect, I have noticed. I just don't want to risk any possible long term effects, and there aren't enough studies yet to show what can happen after yrs of usage. Since we have to keep using it forever to maintain results, I don't think it's worthwhile the risks. I know even with applying on the lashline, some drug does get slowly absorbed through the skin and may eventually get into the eyeball. I have heard some people have growth with Rapidlash (available at CVS) but that also seems to have a prostaglandin, not exactly like bimatoprost, but another type, a prostaglandin analogue. Maybe it's not as strong, and could be ok, but there aren't any clinical studies on the long term use. Maybe I'll try Hydropeptide Lash or Renew Eyelash Revitalizer next. Not so cheap, but maybe they will strengthen my lashes and perhaps help them stay healthy, so they won't break off or shed so much, especially since I will stop the Lumigan. Maybe even help some growth, who knows. But I think I want to stay away from prostaglandin analogues, which are in other products like MD Lash Factor, LiLash, etc. at least until more studies come out for long term use. check out these links: http://truthinaging.com/eyes/eyelash-growth-product-roundup-do-they-work-and-are-they-safe/http://beautyxpose.com/2009/reviews/beauty-experiment-thicker-lashes-with-hydropeptide-lash.html

I have been using RevitaLash for the last couple of months or so and am suddenly noticing great results. It also filled in a little bald patch of lashes that had stopped growing. I am really impressed with it, actually. I do brush the solution along the top and bottom of my upper lash line, so I don't know if that is conributing to the results. It took a while to kick in, but it has totally been worth it. A patient of mine has been using RapidLash and has also had excellent results.

I used lumigen on my lashes for a while 2 years ago. I did get a little bit of permanent darkening on skin of my upper lashline which now has a permanent purplish brown coloring where before it was skin colored. (I never applied it to the lower lashes). I remember the area growing darker & darker during my treatment, but I thought it would eventually go away. Two years later & it still hasn't faded. I don't mind the pigmentation though- saves me the step of using shadow liner there.
The only reason I stopped using it is because my lashes are just too sparse. The longer they grew the more it exhagerated this sparsity. I'd have to get eyelash transplantation before trying it again.

What about the eyelashes that they GLUE on; one by one. Some salons do that.
If anybody knows of any orthopedic doctors, in Boston or Concord MA area who are conversant in FEMORAL ACETEBULAR IMPINGMENT, please let me know.
Cancel above request. My hip is now too far gone. Need a total hip replacement.

I tried them once and ended up with a little bald patch in the inner corner of my eye. Fortunately the Revitalash has regrown the lashes in that area.
