What do you all think of the new Miss USA? I think she's very pretty. I don't remember any previous Miss USA that had dark hair/dark eyes. Goes to show how it's not always about 'coloring' of eyes/hair, and the actual features/shape of face, etc. are what makes a face attractive. Maybe not everyone thinks she's pretty, but I do. Even though her nose isn't 'ideal' by some standards, it doesn't take away from her attractiveness. I think her cheeks/shape of face, and eye shape are very nice.

You're right, her nose is not that nice. But I think with the right doctor (if she really wanted to) she can look much better with a rhino. Yet, I think she has nice facial proportions, and bad nose is easier to fix (with the right doc) than a long mid face for instance.
I knew there have been other dark Miss USAs, but don't remember them all. I just meant they are not as common, and that eye shape itself is more indicative of eye beauty rather than the eye color itself. I just think this Miss USA has very nice shaped eyes, even with minimal eye makeup.

yes definitely with the right nose job her whole face would look amazing ,because the one she has really takes away from the rest of her features wich as you point out are very proportionate

imo a nose like Miss Brazil's would look great on her and really open up her eyes, but it also could take away from her ethnic looks.



as for long midfaces I really do not think they look bad, if the face is proportionate the mid-face length doesn't really count, I actually think that is much worst to have a very short mid face and a long lower third.

You have a point, but I don't think a face can actually be considered proportionate if the mid-face is long. I just think a face needs to have certain measurements, so that the mid-face will not look long if it's actually proportionate. But yes, a long lower third will look bad, if it makes the mid-face look too short, so again it will not be proportionate. I just meant that it's easier to fix a nose (by the right doc) and get an overall improvement than fixing mid-face length (that is not proportionate), from all that I've read here and other boards.

I think she is pretty but has something that makes her average looking. I would nor remember her face either.

I am not really sure if Ashley has a long midface. There's an actual measurement you can do, but I'm not exactly sure how it's done. I'm sure it's been talked about here before, and maybe in some previous posts. What stands out about Ashley to me, is her nose, and while it's not an ugly nose, it seems a bit long and the tip could be better. Her face is cute though.
I don't know about Jake either, he seems like he has a somewhat long face, but to determine if the midface itself is actually too long, I think you need to do the measurement.
I think for some people, you can actually see the midface too long even w/o measuring it, or at least that's what I see sometimes. For example, Heidi Montag, even with all her recent surgeries, her midface still seems long to me, which is what doesn't make her look that amazing. Sure, she's had improvements, but if you remove the fake eyelashes and makeup, there is still something that makes her look not so beautiful, and to me it's the long midface that's difficult or sometimes impossible to change in some cases.
I also think Sarah Jessica Parker has a long mid face, not just a long face overall. So even if she got a smaller chin, she would still have a long midface, at least that's what I think. I'm sure Miss J or others can give more detailed input about how to actually measure midfaces though.
