I have been thinking about having another pulsed dye treatment for some broken capillaries. This time though, I will insist on a non-purpuric treatment. As it turns out, eventually all the diffuse redness disappeared, however it took three months! I don't think I ever heard of anyone having such a long recovery.

Thank you so much for answering me. I've been quite upset over this, especially since I was charged ALOT for a treatment in a small area. Now I feel much better and will wait it out without focusing on it everyday.

Gosh, I wish I'd known that a few weeks ago! I've just waited 10 weeks for *most* of the redness to go. I was really starting to think somehow it had made it worse! So it could be up to three months for the rest... Amazing how fast some people heal and other's don't - like ourselves.

Interesting about going for a non-purpuric treatment. I've had those, and personally, they didn't have anything like the same effect as when I'm black and blue. The bits that have now faded from this last sesh are really, really improved after this last bashing.

I hear you!! I also wonder how quickly I will heal if I ever decide to have surgery. But the good News is, it has resolved! I always thought that the purpuric treatments were the way to go too, however some on this board say that they got good results with the non-purpuric.
