In order to provide electronic public access to all information posted on Miss J's board, Miss j incurs technology development, maintenance and operational expenses. Miss J's board is not a commercial one in any way nor has been one prior. The ideology behind it is a 'non-profit' one. However, since expenses to run it are not 'covered' by things like doctor sponsors, Google ads, corporate affiliations present or past, I am unable to meet operational expenses of unlimited sign up in the absence of private contributions. Suggested nominal one is $20. I also give public thanks to new sign ups who happily contribute that way by noting that your membership is one of 'private contributor ' to Miss J's board. Thanking you advance for your support.
Present TOS policy will also be sent to you pending your approval before you join.

It's not meant to be a 'monitor the discussions and say nothing' board.
Open self sign up is CLOSED for a variety of reasons. A very salient one is that I like to see that a new member on my board also has a posting history on another board and is willing to use the user name they use on what ever other PS board they participate on.
Miss J board is not a; 'My very first time participating on any PS board' type of board. I like my new members to have some (established) posting history on other PS boards before they come here and also because they want a more indepth venue for discussion.
When e-mailing me about possible membership, it would be nice if I knew, you read this open message and also had a history of posting elsewhere and a desire to actually take part in the discussions.
