Well, I was specifically talking about the Versace ad, but yeah, totally weird how maturely groomed both those kids look in the family pic. She is ten, and wearing a full face of makeup including a heavy dose of eyeliner, and that's way too much color on the lips (liner, highlight in the middle, lipstick etc). I do not think a child should have an obviously contoured and highlighted face either. A dark brown mascara, minimally cleaned-up brows (too shaped looks way too mature to me), some minimal eyeshadow ( I think a contoured/highlighted EYE is ok in neutral shades, but very blended), a little blush on TOP of the cheeks (no dark contour under the cheekbone), & a clear, shiny lip balm (like Dr. Haushka's) is the most makeup a girl under 14 should wear. Also, a little concealer where necessary. That will bring out a little girl's beauty, without making her look like she's late teens, or sexualizing her. And for God's sake NO EYELINER IN THE WATERLINE!

Looking at the boy, I'm surprised they didn't dust on a five o'clock shadow.
