Don't laugh . . . but I have no idea what this is about. The shorthanded version though is that I should sign it, right?

I sent letters to my Representatives telling them I oppose this legislation and to vote NO.

I signed it. A Republican presented it in the House and a Dem in the Senate. Now they are both backing down due to public outcry. Basically, it would have benefitted BIG business like publishers and music industry but would have hurt the everyday consumer and small businesses. IMO, a good thing to sign.

Yeah, but what's the issue . . . and again, no laughing at me. Edit: Sorry DC. You clarified and I overlooked.

I'm off to sign.

The origination of the bill was supposed to stop 'off-shore' piracy but the way it was written nearly everyone would have been guilty of piracy and we are all subject to being "watched' based on what we search and write on the internet. Made ISP providers responsible for blocking users from websites. Big brother stuff. Wiki went black today and so did Google to protest.

Could even affect this site, a doctor could say he loses business because of what we say about him.
