To readers of my posts on MMH.

I get many private e mails daily from people reading my open posts on MMH. Although I am happy to provide GENERAL information about PS issues that I feel might be helpful the readers of MMH, please NOTE that my signature on EACH and EVERY post I make on MMH says the following:

"Please Note: NO PMs please.

Private correspondence with me concerning questions highly specific to your situation is not an extension of my open participation on the boards."

That said, if you are looking for 'free', 'gratis' advice from me, ALL that type of advice can be found on my over 2000 posts doing so on MMH. My private mail box is NOT one to seek free advice from me regarding your unique PS situation.

Sorry to say but private time and focus from me directly with regard to information that is 'catered' or target specifically to the UNIQUE needs of any ONE private individual, needs to be solely reserved for my PRIVATE clients who are financially compensating me for private time, attention and specialized targeted focus to their unique PS situation.

All others in search for 'free' or 'gratis' advice need to garner or gleen that from the advice that has already been provided on open message boards.

Not to solicit but my PRIVATE rates for private time and focus (off the boards) is about $50/hour. This is in line with rates of a PRIVATE TUTOR.

All, I ask is this: If you are not willing to compensate for ME as your private tutor, please pay heed to my signature on MMH that CLEARLY states I'm not looking for people to e mail me privately about specialized time and focus about their specific PS problem.

Although I LOVE being very generous with my time, I like to do that when my time spent giving info over public boards, helps the MOST number of people with GENERAL information. I'm very happy to contribute my extensive knowledge in that regard.

If you truly feel you need and would benefit from my private time and focus, think in terms of offering something in exchange for that. That is to say, don't just 'assume' that BECAUSE I very well might have the info you need to help you solve your problem, it is therefore my 'task' to allocate private informational resources to you. That resolves to private WORK from me to YOU. If it's not something you would even think of compensating me for, don't privately mail me asking me to extend private work to you for free. That is all I ask.

To my readers and members on this board:

I have to post this openly so I can refer EACH and EVERY person privately mailing me for private time and focus to their situation, the simple message that I'm not up to working for free. I've spent a lot on an MIT education, not to mention courses in aesthetic analysis at Harvard, not to mention tons of $$ in private subscriptions to professional journals to garner most of the info I have to help people. My generosity in sharing information to help the 'many on open boards,' often results in individuals 'entitling' themselves to PRIVATE time and focus from me and 'expecting' that. Then they get MAD when I tell them, I'd like some compensation for private time and focus solely devoted to their unique PS or aesthetic problems. I've just about had it writing back to each person in pursuit of that in the private (off the boards) venue that I DON'T offer that private service for free. Hence, I'm OPENLY posting this HERE so that I can provide a LINK to this post to EACH and EVERY person who privately mails me who 'assumes' that private time and focus from me is an extension of my public participation on boards. It is NOT.

That said, to those on MMH reading my generally helpful posts: If you feel that my private time and attention to your unique problem is something I ' should' focus on, think in terms of extending me an offer I CAN'T REFUSE. I'll tell you right now: An offer of $0/hour for private time and attention to relay very specialized information to you that very well could save you from a disastrous PS decision MISTAKE , is one I'm needing to DECLINE. In exchange for an "offer" of $0/hour for PRIVATE HELP, the FAIR exchange rate for just that is 0 private time and help.

TT helped to uninstall but ran out of time and it would not re-install. CAn't explain the computer problem other than to say I'ts hard for me to access the net or my site.

MissJ, it has to be annoying trudging through all those e-mails every day.

On MMH, your username is your e-mail address. Do you think the mods over there would change it to something else for you? (like just "MissJ") You would still probably get PMs, resulting in email notifications from MMH in your personal e-mail box. But at least then, it would be easier to identify and delete them.

Also, on your site's intro page, before you arrive at your forum, your e-mail is posted again. (It's easy for bots to capture it and add it to spam mailing lists.) You might remove it, and then place it at the very bottom of your post above, so people will have to read your requirements before sending you an e-mail. But I wouldn't just type out the e-mail address for everyone to see. I would hide it in a link, such as:

Click here to e-mail me.

Well, the above link isn't actually working. When I clicked on it, I got a warning that I was being directed to a phishing site, and then I landed on AOL's homepage. Someone could probably figure out the correct coding.

I get tons of SPAM each day. But I know which things are SPAM. Private clients are told to write something specific in the subject box. In that way, I can prioritize mail from people I know. I don't have a problem with SPAM as it is easy to delete before reading my e mail. It's just that when I clearly tell people on my signature that private mail about specific problem is not extension of my public contributions and they want free private time and focus anyway as to IGNORE my notice in my signature, I'm needing a LINK to provide them with about my policy. So, now, I have such a link to give them.

$50 per hour is a bargain, especially considering the misery of failed plastic surgery

It's the price of a private TUTOR and some math tutors are more than that LOL. I put it at tutorial rates and not "consulting" rates because I don't really market or advertise. All I basically do is 'be available' to privately help people who are already confident I could help them privately and approach me to do that. It's aimed at folks who are already familiar with me and my knowledge base; basically folks I don't have to 'market' to.
