I had a procedure and now have a lovely black eye. I am wanting any advice on how to speed the healing or cover this. If it was just a few days, I wouldnt be too worried but I read it can take weeks...yikes!

Please let me know if you have any advice.

Lots of raw pineapple or bromlaine pills from health food store.

NOTICE:

I'm having COMPUTER PROBLEMS and can hardly get on the internet or get to my e-mail. It's taken me like 6 hours just today to try to post this message. So, no e-mails or PMs to me until I can remove this message. I have no idea what the problem is. It started with Google Chrome not loading any pages for me. TT helped to uninstall but ran out of time and it would not re-install. CAn't explain the computer problem other than to say I'ts hard for me to access the net or my site.

Especially the core of the pineapple. Fresh is best. And LOTS of water.

I just posted the answer under your other thread ...

But here's what works for me (pending YOUR doc's approval!): apply Arnica gel on the area 2-3 times a day. In addition, start applying warm compresses (basically a cloth soaked in HOT water) to the area 4-5 times a day. That will get the blood moving out of the under-eye area.

Definitely do the bromelain, too. But don't panic. This is just a temporary condition that needs time for your body to clear the area of that pooling blood. After your ML procedure, the cannula has simply rammed through a bazillion capillaries in your face. Result is going to be blood pooling in easy areas - like eye sockets, jaw area and even neck/chest as the blood continues its downward flow.

Thank God I have this board. I look so ugly right now with these bags. I will go buy a fresh pinapple and call about the warm compresses. Also there is a health food store nearby, I can pick up some arnica gel. I hate being this ugly!

I used a cover up called Colortration. It was more of a paint, but it worked better than any cover up I used for concealing my filler bruises. A tiny bit goes a long way. Their website sells samples, I think like 7 for $15 and one sample lasts a long time. You just have to chose the right shade, but with 7 sample choices, it should be pretty easy to use the proper one. To get the best cover, I used a Physicians Formula yellowish cover stick as the base and then the colortration paint on top of it. It worked wonders.

Thanks for all the responses...just wanted to say I found something great that worked. Its a small black tube called Bye Bye Undereye...thin but really covers. Key is getting color right. I was lucky with my first order. I had forgotten that I ordered this a year ago when I had a bought of tine with a dark circle under one eye. When I saw Mike D's post it refreshed my memory. I feel much more confident in public now. Just wanted to share that this is a great product.
