Thanks, Sarah. My main goal has always been to educate so that anyone considering a laser/IPL treatment is FULLY informed.

I do believe that not everyone who is treated by IPL/laser is harmed. It is mainly the unknown (who WILL they harm and why do they harm some and not others?) that is so frightening. If it was purely operator dependent then you could avoid the dangers by choosing only the best doctors, but that is not the case AT ALL. Some of the supposed best laser docs worldwide have harmed members on my forum from the docs at Mass Gen to the most well known docs in the UK.

You BETCHA! I watch those stars close before making any plans. The year I had the Gemini Iridex was December 2009. I had it done mid-December, before Mercury went retrograde on the 26th that month.

Same story now. I'm in "holding pattern" waiting till after 1/2/12 when Mercury returns to "normal" position to schedule any elective procedures ... which are rapidly backing up (Juvey, sclerotherapy) since I've had nothing done since May 2010.

This is the site I check with before planning any procedure, cuz y'also want to watch for Venus retrograde periods, which are less frequent but last longer: http://www.astrologycom.com/mercretdec09.html

Mercury RULES Gemini (and Virgo). So, did you have this Gemini laser when Mercury was NOT in retrograde?

I totally agree. My 'timing' has been really flukey since Mercury has been in retrograde. I'm not risking it for surgery either.
