I'm addicted to this Philosophy peel . . . but at sixty-five bucks it ain't cheap. Then someone told me that the Olay Regnerist Microdermabrasion Peel at $21.00, less at some online sources, was the same thing. Well, I'm here to tell you that it absolutey is. Right down to the scent.

Don't waste your money on the Philosophy. And if you haven't tried this peel, you should. It's awesome.

Olay gets good consumer ratings for the stuff they have that's as good as the more pricey stuff.

When did you start working for Olay? ( just kidding- such a smooth talker)

I'll try it. Some of the Olay products give me a rash. I actually think it is the scent.

HateMe, how noticeable is that Olay peel? Having been burned to a crisp with MixTo, I'd NEVER go the laser route again ... but would be curious to try a microdermabrasion peel if it was kind to my skin, and didn't give me a rash or anything.

Do you notice an improvement in the fine lines? Or do you use it to reduce pigment issues?

Hey Bug! I apologize for taking so long to respond to you, but I just saw your post. So for what this product is, an over-the-counter peel, I think it's great. Nothing else on the market comes close to it. Now, the effects don't last more than a day or two, but they are absoltutely discernable. I do it when I have something out of the ordinary coming up, like a big trial or even Thanksgiving dinner. I always get lots of compliments on my skin the day I do this peel. Generally I'll do it in the morning, then trot off to work. Now it's probably not going to do a lot for fine lines and wrinkles, but the texture of your skin will definitely look improved. And it will feel super good. Let me know if you try it.

^^^^^ Hmmm! That sounds intriguing. A day or two of discernible improvement sounds way kinder to my skin.

I have been using Lewinn Dermal Wrinkle Filler under my makeup lately. It seems to fill in the fine lines a bit ... so perhaps the combo of that and the Olay peel would be great!

I'll keep you posted. Bet I could find Olay at my local Raleys.

Here's what I've been using for my skin: 'Just go out at night or to places where the lights are dim and most people are drinking'. Makes the flaws difficult for the other people to see.

Yes, that and always standing next to ugly people with awful skin works well for me.

Yeah, my sister-in-law says I should be a stand-up comic! I have a whole routine I'm doing these days on the thrill of getting OLD. I will only perform it, however, in a DARK room full of acne-faced attendees.

OK. Here's my sit-down routine:

What's hot 'n purple and smooth all over?

My face! Yes. I got Olay's Regenerist Thermal-Activated Daily Microdermabrasian Peel. (I think they need to add just three more words to get into Ripley's Believe It Or Not for "Product With the Longest Name".)

Directions say to put it on while in the shower - but DO NOT let it get in your eyes or on lips. So right there, hubs GAVE UP. However, I persevered, slathered lip balm on, and daubed a quarter-sized blob of Olay onto my cheeks, chin, neck and chest. It's PURPLE. And it feels HOT when you put it on. Like K-Y Jelly down there ... only HOTTER.

You leave it on for the duration of your shower, and if you want to re-activate the HEAT in it, just splash more water on it. OOOOO. AHHHHH.

Rinse it off. Dry as usual with a towel ... and OMG. I saw immediate results. I was actually surprised to see that all the fine lines around my eyes and tear troughs had vanished. Also, the N/L lines were about half as deep - good enough to convince me that I don't need Juvey injections (which I had contemplated getting even as Mercury is retrograde!).

I don't know how this stuff works, but the tube says DAILY use, so that's what I'm going to do!

Well, heck fire, there Bug! I'm going to have to get me some of that too. Mine isn't the daily kind. Glad it worked for you.

Of course I ran right out and bought some. I LOVE IT. Good call, HMIAL. I would use it every day, but I think the stuff I bought says once a week. It gives a nice, healthy glow, peaches and cream. Thanks for a good product recommend.
