I remember thinking how beautiful she was when she appeared in those Neutrogena Commercials, but now she
has a bit of an exhausted look

Oh dear, she has the look of a worn out new mother....like she has no time for herself. She would definately benefit from some botox and a little filler, the eyes look so tired.

She looks older than her 40 years. It's funny that she seems to have good name recognition with a lot of people because I can't think of any one big role that she is known for, except maybe Mrs. Eric Dane.

I wonder if the traumatic effect of being responsible for the death of the kid she hit with her car has taken a toll on her aging?

When she was young, she had that hooded eye look. Even then, she had the type of face that does not age well.

Thats an awful thing to happen, I had no idea. I think that kind of trauma can be aging.

Yes- it was undoubtedly a terrible time in her life and I imagine something like that never leaves you.

Oh my, she looks terrible. Her hitting that little boy with her SUV was probably very awful and still awful for her to deal with.

This is an interview on Rebecca Gayheart for People Magazine...

At 2:40 p.m. that day, she was driving through central L.A. in a borrowed Jeep Grand Cherokee when she struck third grader Jorge Cruz Jr. as he was crossing the street on his way home from school. Cruz died the next day at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. According to police reports, several cars had stopped for Cruz when Gayheart pulled into the left lane to pass them and hit the boy. Gayheart declines to discuss the specifics of the accident; in 2002 she settled a wrongful death suit filed by the boy's parents, Silvia Martinez and Jorge Cruz. Though she paid for the boy's funeral, she no longer has contact with his family. "After a certain point, I think they didn't want to have contact with me, which I completely understand," she says. "I can't imagine how they feel. They are in my prayers every day."

She describes the first few years after the accident as a "terrible, terrible time. I couldn't really function for a while." She had trouble sleeping and eating; she lost weight. "I just got to a point where I realized I needed help. I got into therapy. I've been in therapy since then. It's really been helpful." She got behind the wheel of a car for the first time since the accident recently; some days she still can't bring herself to drive. "I don't think anyone could sit and say they got over something like this. I just don't think that's possible. It hasn't been for me." Still, her friend and Scream 2 executive producer Kevin Williamson—who describes her as "good to the core"—says he has watched her "come back to life on the inside. Step by step she started rebuilding."

Thats an extremely sad story. I guess how she looks isn't on her mind much.

I think recently she just a baby and her husband was in rehab. Lots of current stress, too.

That is an absolutely horrible burden to carry! I was thinking she looked like the Madonna in the Pieta sculpture before reading your comment. I was intrigued ... looked her up in Wiki, and see she was born in Hazard, KY. Bit of a name phreak, that is.

I don't think I'd ever recover if I killed a kid - even by accident! Once I hit a squirrel on my way to class, and I am still devastated by that cruel twist of fate. Poor creature.

I can't get past the threesome she and Eric had with a former beauty queen (who appeared on celebrity rehab a few times). Call me a prude but it just changed the way I thought about her and him completely.

Man, I would guess that Rebecca Gayheart holds a lot of shame for accidently killing that boy and that may be the reason she partakes in threesomes and cocaine binges. Poor girl.
