I am thinking about ditching my current exfoliating facial scrum from KISS MY FACE and switching to regular baking soda. I've read online its very effective and safe. It would save me a lot of money also. Any one use this?

I do. But you need to mix some apple cider vinegar with water to rinse afterwards to maintain acid balance of skin because bake soda is slightly alkaline.

MissJ do you know if Sulfur soap is bad for the health?

currently i am using it and seems like is doing a good job controlling the oiliness.

Can I just take 1 teaspoon of baking sods mix with like 5 drops apple cider vinegar then apply the paste? If this works it will save me a ton of $$$.

exfoliants are either mechanical or chemical. mechanical is when there are beads or sandy feeling stuff. if the KMF is mechanical - all you need is a washcloth to achieve the same effect with soap and water. if it's chemical, then it's some combination of acids and baking soda being alkaline is not going to do it. you should be looking for a wash with salycilic acid (neutrogena makes one)

don't mix it because it will foam. Just use the BS to use as crystals for scrubbing exfoliation and then use the diluted apple cider solution to bring back the acid mantle balance. You use the apple cider solution as a 'toner' for the skin.
