Hooooeee! No surgery has had me cringe like this abdominal procedure. Flanks feel fine, numb and no prob. But WTH is going on with my abdominals? Damn this better be worth it. Took 5 days after to start the pain and I'm on day 7. The nurse said she had it too and to ice. The ice works wonders, thank god! So I'm looking 4 months pregnant with a scarf tied around me to hold the ice in. Plus my belly is swollen. Best part is I am scheduled for a little thigh lipo Monday morning. Anyone wanna come over and finish me off with baseball bats Tues? Oh, and he said "NO" to a lower facelift. We did ulthera. I'm seriously getting ready for Dr. Marten, but I'll wait and see if I notice any results from ulthera.

No, it's Zeltiq. Rox Anderson and a few of his colleagues 'discovered' it. Basically freezes fat (or so they say) and it dies, then is resorbed by the body.

Oh, OK, thanks. I've heard of that one but hard to keep up with all the new names of laser devices. DCNGA wrote:No, it's Zeltiq. Rox Anderson and a few of his colleagues 'discovered' it. Basically freezes fat (or so they say) and it dies, then is resorbed by the body.

it's not a laser, it's cryolysis.

Here's Tracey Bell doing the procedure on a patient. Love Tracey Bell. It's like watching Tracey Ullman perform surgery. http://youtu.be/RhEOJ7tpcqE

In the WSJ today it says Zeltiq is going public with a stock offering. Interesting. Keep posting about your result!

Oh, ok, thanks. So it's that fat freezing device. Yes, that one has a lot of people watching and waiting to see how it pans out. Robin wrote:

One of my best friends is a VP for Zeltiq, the cool sculpting company. I have had several friends undergo the procedure and they all love it. It supposedly takes a few months to see final results and I hear that further procedures are sometimes needed to rival the results of traditional lipo if you want more than a 25% reduction in fat cells in the treated area. Nobody that I know who has had it had anything negative to say except for numbness in the initial healing phase followed by itchiness when the nerves regenerate. None of them complained of enough pain to require prescription pain pills.

Sounds like it would be worth it with no scars.

I had one treatment of Zeltiq on one thigh that has a fatty area. It was not painful and I did see a slight improvement. It was very easy but I think you would need to repeat it to see a lot of improvement.

Thanks kk25. Finally I am just feeling mild shooting pains in the abdomen at this point. Apparently, some people don't feel this pain with zeltiq, esp. men. My ps theorized that it may have something to do with having children and where the suction is placed (upper or lower abs). In my case, we got good suction on the upper and lower abdomen and they were done together. One nurse who has no children had her lower abs done and said it was cake. She showed me, and her abs looked great....flat! The other nurse, who had gone through pregnancy, told me to ice, ice, ice and it'll soon go away. She had the same thing. Everyone agrees on the 25% reduction in fat. I am not quite 2 weeks out and have just had liposculpture to my outer thighs on Monday so I am in a compression garment but I am feeling positive about seeing results from the zeltiq. We did my flanks as well and that was no pain at all. I will keep you guys posted.
