I've been on a Torchwood kick lately, and I never get tired of looking at this man's face (he's so darned pretty and fun to watch!) even though his acting is kind of wooden. He seems to have had jaw implants and subtle rhino. I suspect eye work, too although it's hard to put my finger on it. He even jokingly referred to his own jaw in one of the scripts ("It's the jaw-gets them every time!") What else might he have done? He's way too perfect-looking to be real.

I don't think he had a rhino. He's in pics with his sister all the time and they have the same exact nose. All I see is that he relaxed & flat ironed his hair. He says it takes 30 min to do his hair b4 they film... because it's so thick - but it doesn't straighten naturally...He posts his hair salon visits on twitter... I can't tell if this is relaxer or dye. Isn't dye much darker? he doesn't really seem to be the type to hide anything...He said he'd do botox, etc whenever he starts needing it.
I think he just might be that perfect. He looks more open and friendly in the recent pics...something about him looked darker (personality wise) - possibly due to some change in the eye area and/or increase in facial fat. His hair color changed too since he's grey now - naturally.
I only watch Torchwood cuz he's on it... it's like a cheap X-files, especially the early episodes. It's so bad it's good (e.g. the crazy female robot that lanto fell in love with, etc...) The cannibal village, on the other hand, was wayyyy too much - even with him saving the day. I almost puked during that episode.

I think he was at his best in the David Tennant Doctor Who days.
He doesn't really shine unless he has good material and it seems that they usually don't give him good material.
The Torchwood writing is very hit and miss.
I liked the very first episode and parts of season 2. Also, Children of Earth was excellent although he was devastatingly heartless at the very end. Miracle Day was horrible, very disappointing.
That cyberwoman episode with Ianto was beyond bad. It was actually embarassing to watch.
I could not finish the cannibal episode.
HUGE Doctor Who fan here!

Oh good I don't feel weak then...lol. I covered my eyes when they opened the fridge. I was just like "you cant un-see what they're going to show...you cant unsee this... so just dont look..." They went way too far w/ the dead bodies in that episode. It's not a horror movie! I like sci fi that makes you think / solve mysteries than just freaks you out. Haha yeah "cyberwoman" was what they called her. It was Naomi Campbell in a horrible 1/2 done project runway costume - so bad it was just camp at the end of the day...I they make up (deliberately) for the bad writing with JB sex scenes though. I don't know the whole Dr. Who history and I tried to read about it on wikipedia and it was like clearly entering a world that had been heavily policed by its fans... like star trek. I couldn't understand what the background of everything was except some of the basic time travel stuff. I still don't get how Captain Jack is related to Dr. Who or the Captain Jack who he kissed in 1940 or whatever war that was...and why were they making out so intensely? I actually like him in a lot of random clips on youtube - I have no idea how i even came across him now - but this is one of the best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtDg23G1uc8

I concentrate mostly on the recent reboots of Doctor Who, starting with Ecclestone. The Tennant and Smith episodes are a lot of fun--high production values, great acting, mostly nice special effects with a few exceptions. Most of the episodes were great. Only a few didn't quite hit the mark.
If you are going to start with Doctor Who because you like Captain Jack, start with "Utopia." He was totally adorable in that one. Plus you will fall in love with Tennant, as we all do!
Captain Jack made his first appearances with Ecclestone:
The Empty Child (21 May 2005) (really creepy kids in gas masks--famous for "Are you my mummy?" The Doctor Dances (28 May 2005) Boom Town (4 June 2005) Bad Wolf (11 June 2005) The Parting of the Ways (18 June 2005) And then he did a few with Tennant:
Utopia (16 June 2007) The Sound of Drums (23 June 2007) Last of the Time Lords (30 June 2007) The Stolen Earth (28 June 2008) Journey's End (5 July 2008) The End of Time: Part Two (1 January 2010)

Doesn't look like jaw implants to me just sagging skin/lower facial fat.
