I was born with scarry scratched up looking skin. For the most part I never had trouble with acne in my life, I am 22 now and I dont have any acne. However, genetically I was born with kind of skin that has visible scars on it. They resemble acne scars but they are not. They are like little cuts and holes that can only be noticed from close up, but from far away they make me look older and more brown. I would like to look much whiter and have a smoother more pale of a face. Right now when I apply acne creams and moisturizer I look much whiter skinned, but the small cuts and scars on my face I was born with make me look older and more ethnic. I dont really know if there is a solution to this as lasers or chemical peels seem to have the objective of "reverting" back to your younger more youthful healthier skin. What if your skin you were born with is just shitty? Does that mean that lasering or peeling would be ineffective since you are essentially doing nothing? I think the only way I can hide these is make up and I dont know how to do that, is there any other way cosmetically I can hide my bad cut up/scarred skin?

You have to be careful with darker skin. Sometimes lasers and peels can only lighten certain areas, leaving you mottled and blotchy. We have some experts in this area, they will probably chime in.

have you seen a dermatologist? And what is your skin care routine? There's a lot that can be done with proper skin care to even out texture and tone.
