I'm stockpiling water and other essentials as these solar flares are supposed to ramp over the next 5 years and if 2012 is not The End, then it's not far away. Guess I won't need to worry too much about retirement funds and such. I'm making all of my children spend the night with me on 12/21/2012. I'm not taking any chances. LOL, I hear you...That's what I've been thinking too. Why worry...Even if I managed to somehow protect my little nest egg..or invest in something great, there's really no need for it when it matures. Even the bible says they will be throwing gold in the street..which is speaking of money.... The bible tells us that towards the end of life as we now know it, Satan has great wrath bc he knows his time is short, so he is the one doing it and God is allowing it since he has become irrelevant to most people today. God's wrath is supposed to be at the very end and we aren't there yet bc some things haven't happened yet..like the Antichrist and the mark of the beast.(but bc we are hearing more and more about this OWGovernment which will be headed up by the AC, we can know that we are getting closer to this time. All these economical problems we are having is leading to this by design..well the devil is behind it, but the devil uses people. The end will come like birth pangs, as we are experiencing now as DC was describing...which leads to His return...and just prior his coming will be the Day of the Lord, or the wrath of God, "which the world has never experienced before and never will again". What we are seeing now may seem like God's wrath, but this is nothing compared to what is coming on the world then. People will actually be praying to die bc of fear. But CHEER UP..LOL It has to happen for the return of Christ. Don't be like those who are prophesied as "shaking their fists at God bc of the things coming on the earth"...Instead, call on Him to save you while you still can.

Water in a screw top plastic bottle is good for two years. Amish will be fine too since they have no dependency on electricity or motorized anything. Note to self: Try to locate Mormon and Amish families in area to see if they will adopt me and the family next year.

I don't like the idea of those cheap water bottle plastics seeping into my water over that long, though...but it's better than dying of thirst. Those large 5 gal. plastic containers are made of a better grade plastic and would be a good idea. Yes, food, water, medical supplies, candles, flashlights, COMFORT FOODS haha...are always good to have for survival through any disaster.

Speaking of economic problems, has anyone been watching the videos of the London riots? It's been like 3 days now, and live footage link below. It's scary to think that it could possibly happen in a developed city like that. The riots supposedly started as revolt against the shooting of a young man, after a peaceful strike, but who know what the real reason is..seems to be due to bad economy, lack of jobs, etc, and social networking seems to have made the riots spread fast and furious. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/blog/2011/aug/08/london-riots-third-night-live

Well upon further reading, it seems like most of the rioters are people under 25 who never graduated high school and many never worked a day in their life. Maybe most don't want a job anyway. But it's scary to see how quickly a riot could become uncontrollable by police, with the help of social networking and texting.
